About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their team. This role is available for part-time and PRN positions at Mountain View Community in Ossippe, NH, within a Long-Term Care setting. The position offers a rate range of $35-$38/hr for part-time roles, based on experience, and includes benefits such as Dental, Vision, 401K, and 360 CEUs. The community focuses on person-centered, interdisciplinary care, providing an opportunity to help residents improve independence with ADLs, safety, and functional mobility. The setting offers exposure to both short-term rehab and long-term care populations. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting (hospital, clinic, school, etc.) is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, including activities to improve daily living skills (e.g., dressing, eating, mobility).
  • Track and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with facility policies, and report changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., PT, OT, nursing) to provide holistic care, and educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
  • Lead or assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapeutic tasks, while creating a positive and supportive environment to encourage patient engagement.
