About The Position

CoxHealth Rehabilitation In Partnership with Select Medical is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Ozark, Missouri. The full-time role provides therapy to patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses. The hospital serves individuals facing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The COTA works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and reports directly to the Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment, as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as indicated, in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
