About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation department within a skilled nursing facility. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with residents to improve functional abilities, mobility, and participation in daily routines.
Requirements
- Active COTA license required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic activities targeting coordination, balance, self-care, and upper extremity function
- Reinforce adaptive techniques and equipment use to promote safety and independence
- Monitor resident response during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the OT
- Maintain accurate documentation and treatment records
