Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field.
Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant for the state.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with patients and their families.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting (a plus but not required).
Experience in acute care and working in a home environment.
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and therapy documentation is a plus.
Experience with KanTime EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment.
Observe and document patients' progress, reporting back to the occupational therapist.
Educate patients and families about adaptive techniques and strategies.
Ensure that patients’ safety and well-being are prioritized in daily activities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
