Requirements

Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License or proof of license eligibility.
Knowledge and experience providing therapy services to frail or medically complex older adults.
Candidates with only pediatric experience will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

1 to 2 years of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
Experience in one or more of the following settings: Outpatient Rehabilitation, Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
Adult and/or geriatric patient experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist with participant evaluations, including vital signs, range of motion, and strength assessments.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, balance, endurance, cognition, perceptual-motor skills, and independence with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Coordinate participant treatment schedules, therapy visits, and related documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive care.
Document therapy interventions accurately and in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Provide therapy services in both outpatient center and home-based settings as needed.
