About The Position

AB Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support multiple school locations in the Crestwood, IL area for the 2025–2026 school year. This school-based role follows the academic calendar and offers consistent weekday hours with the flexibility and variety of floating between campuses. The position is full-time, 30 hours per week, for the full 2025-2026 school year, serving K-12 students. Caseload, mileage expectations, and school placements will be discussed prior to an offer to ensure a great fit.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Illinois COTA License.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to meet standard pre-employment requirements.

Nice To Haves

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Comfortable floating between multiple school sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct therapy services to students per IEP goals.
• Support students’ functional, fine motor, sensory, and school participation skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, OTs, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel between assigned school buildings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements.
• Promote safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.
