About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team at Kendal at Ithaca. This part-time position offers flexible shift options and competitive pay. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities in a skilled nursing environment, providing hands-on care, and ensuring resident safety and comfort. Effective communication with residents, families, and team members is essential.
Requirements
- Current New York State certification as a CNA required
- Ability to stand/walk for most of the shift
- Capacity to push, pull, lift, and transfer residents, particularly when lifting exceeds 35 pounds
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living in a skilled nursing environment
- Provide hands-on nursing care as determined by individual care plans
- Ensure resident safety and comfort while lifting, transferring, and supporting them as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
