As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you help patients under a nurse or manager's supervision. Your duties support patient care and well-being.

Requirements

Completion of a training program specific to nursing assistance which is accompanied by a skills checklist.
Familiarity with medical terminologies.
A commendable approach towards patients, characterized by friendliness, reassurance and an approachable demeanor.
Capability to accurately follow directions from medical professionals, and a well-founded understanding of patient charts and records.
Outstanding attention to detail.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Less than one year of experience.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within thirty days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and comfort of patients, including aiding with mobility and transfers.
Assist in enforcing patient cleanliness and help with their personal hygiene under set procedures.
Assist with proper dietary intake for patients, documenting consumed meals, and tracking calorie consumption.
Respond promptly to patient call lights and maintain safety measures at all times.
Administer treatments and record crucial signs of patients, within the scope of your role.
Maintain unit equipment, keep bedside stations tidy, monitor supplies, and assist with paperwork on the unit.
