About The Position
Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections and is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton, Illinois. CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. They support patients with personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitor vital signs. The position is listed at $23.57 per hour and has an 11 a.m.–7 a.m. night shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification.
- CNA licensure in Maryland.
- Active, appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience, or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician, or mental health worker.
- One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional settings.
