About The Position
Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, Wisconsin, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Aspirus Care & Rehab team. The CNA is a member of the patient care team and assists with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. This is a full-time position at 1.0 FTE, or 80 hours biweekly.
Requirements
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices, normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and completion of a nursing assistant course.
- Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry is required; current registry status is recommended.
- Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Clinical personnel in identified job codes must maintain Basic Life Support training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing.
- Accrue annual CEUs or meet continuing education requirements according to the Education Council recommendation for the given year.
- For Home Health and Hospice roles, current CNA certification is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
- Previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home.
