Per Diem CNA – Weekend Coverage
About The Position
Maine Veterans’ Homes – Scarborough is seeking Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team and help meet our weekend staffing needs. This is a great opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for flexible per diem work while making a meaningful difference in the lives of Maine’s Veterans and their families. Our per diem CNAs help provide coverage for weekends, holidays, and time-off requests. At Maine Veterans’ Homes – Scarborough, you’ll work alongside skilled professionals and paraprofessionals to provide premier care for Maine’s Veterans and their families. Requirements
- Must be active and in good standing on the Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Registry.
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide residents with daily nursing care in accordance with each resident’s assessment and Plan of Care.
- Review care plans and provide care accordingly.
- Identify and honor resident choices in activities of daily living while maintaining resident safety.
- Communicate with care staff at all levels to adequately meet the needs of residents.
Benefits
- $24.75 per hour starting wage
- +$4.00 evening differential
- +$5.00 night differential
- +$2.50 weekend differential — stacked
