About The Position

Elderwood at Cheektowaga is seeking kind, dependable, and collaborative Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide hands-on care in their skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This role is more than just completing daily tasks; CNAs are crucial in noticing changes, providing reassurance, helping residents regain confidence, and ensuring they feel known, respected, and comfortable. The position offers opportunities for both those beginning their CNA career and experienced professionals to build meaningful relationships, strengthen clinical observation skills, and contribute to a team that values communication and accountability. Elderwood at Cheektowaga is a 172-bed skilled nursing community serving long-term residents, individuals with memory-care needs, and short-stay rehabilitation patients. The facility handles various clinical capabilities including IV therapy, PICC-line management, wound-vac therapy, complex wound and ostomy care, enteral feeding, and dialysis coordination. While CNAs are not responsible for licensed-nursing treatments, they play an essential role in assisting with daily needs, observing and reporting changes, supporting mobility and recovery goals, and communicating with nurses and rehabilitation professionals. This environment is ideal for CNAs seeking exposure to a clinically active post-acute setting and aiming to develop strong observation, communication, and resident-care skills for future healthcare growth.
