About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides nursing care to patients and support services to licensed personnel in Lake Region Healthcare’s Medical/Surgical department. The role involves contact with patients, patient families and visitors, LRH employees, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The CNA follows instructions from licensed personnel, works cooperatively with others, and exercises initiative and judgment. The department offers a fast-paced environment focused on teamwork and care for patients of all ages.
Requirements
- Upon hire, be registered as a CNA with the Minnesota registry or be registry eligible.
- During employment, be on the Minnesota Nursing Registry within one year of working as a CNA.
- Maintain active Minnesota Nursing Registry status; renewals must be verified as active six months from the expiration date.
- Have current Healthcare Provider-level CPR certification upon hire or obtain it within six months.
- Have effective interpersonal and communication skills and be able to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others.
