About The Position
Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric psychiatric patients that conforms to care and treatment policies and procedures and demonstrates knowledge of population specific needs and competencies. Shift Differential: Evening $2.50/Hour Weekday & $3.00 Weekend, Nights $2.25/Hour Weekday & $3.00/Hour Weekend, First Shift Weekend $3.00 Hour, Holiday Differential.
Requirements
- Current Nursing Assistant License issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing
- Ability to provide direct patient care under supervision of licensed staff
- Ability to follow instructions and report observations of bio-psychosocial needs and behaviors to licensed nurse in timely manner
- Skills in providing direction and assistance to patients in activities of daily living
- Knowledge of developmental and psychiatric disorders
- Demonstrate competencies as defined on Competency Assessment
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a nursing assistant preferred
- Experience in a behavioral health setting highly desirable
