About The Position

This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, Missouri. The role involves providing basic nursing care and support to patients. The contract is for up to 12 months, with a blended pay rate of $32/hour. CNAs will work four 12-hour shifts per week, with potential weekend and holiday coverage required. A mandatory five-week paid New Employee Orientation is required for selected candidates.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification
• Ability to successfully complete required background and clearance processes
• Ability to attend the full five-week mandatory orientation
• Availability to work the assigned day or night schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and support, including vital signs, hygiene, ambulation, and transfers
• Document patient location, status, and activities
• Escort patients as needed within and occasionally outside the hospital
• Assist with keeping patient common areas clean
• Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and take appropriate action
• Communicate changes in patients’ conditions
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Comply with Fulton State Hospital and Missouri Department of Mental Health policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
