About The Position

Hallway Healthcare provides in-home nursing care to retired Nuclear and Federal Workers that have received benefits through EEOICPA or FECA. These are the workers who have retired from Department of Energy facilities such Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Sandia National Lab Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Stanford Linear, etc. We also serve Federal Workers such as US Postal Workers. Unlike many home health agencies that require multiple short visits per shift, Hallway Healthcare typically assigns you to one patient per shift, allowing for more focused, consistent, and meaningful care.

Requirements

6 months of experience
Computer literate, with EMR experience
Valid Drivers License
Strong patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate care
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
Ability to perform patient assessments and recognize changes in condition
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Able to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Experience with home care services is a plus

Responsibilities

Light cleaning, cooking, and doing laundry
Assisting clients with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks
Consult with a client's family members and nursing staff to address their concerns regarding the client's health, nutrition, and overall well-being
Take vital signs and report to supervisor
Complete Documentation, Aide Progress Note, by the end of each shift
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Assist with patient assessments and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
Assist with patient mobility and transfers
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Drive patient to run errands or accompany to appointments
