About The Position

Kendal at Ithaca is seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. This part-time role involves assisting residents with daily living activities in a skilled nursing environment, providing hands-on care according to individual care plans, and ensuring resident safety and comfort. Effective communication with residents, families, and team members is essential.

Requirements

• Current New York State certification as a CNA required
• Ability to stand/walk for most of the shift
• Capacity to push, pull, lift, and transfer residents, particularly when lifting exceeds 35 pounds
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living in a skilled nursing environment
• Provide hands-on nursing care as determined by individual care plans
• Ensure resident safety and comfort while lifting, transferring, and supporting them as needed
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
