About The Position

Lincoln Surgical Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the nursing team in providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience. The CNA assists patients with daily care needs and helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and efficient clinical environment while working within the scope of CNA certification. The schedule is 72 hours per biweekly pay period, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The role is located at Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Requirements

Current Nebraska Nursing Assistant certification from a state-approved training program.
Active Nebraska CNA certification before beginning employment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire.
High school education level.

Previous experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care needs.
Ambulate and assist patients as directed by nursing staff.
Safely position patients to ensure comfort and meet individual care requirements.
Obtain and document vital signs, and report them to the appropriate nurse.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment.
Replenish supplies and equipment as needed.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including standard precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support the nursing team in delivering patient-centered care.
