About The Position

Pine Grove Nursing Center in Center, Texas, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care to residents during an 8-hour shift. The role supports residents’ safety, comfort, and independence; assists the charge nurse; and contributes to individualized care plans and exceptional resident service. The CNA works as part of a multidisciplinary team at a facility specializing in long-term and rehabilitative care.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to residents in a manner that supports their safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of the shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Assist with implementing care plans as directed and within established policies and procedures.
Observe and report on residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established policies and procedures for safe lifting and transferring of residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
