Requirements

Possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude and portray a positive image.
Ability to read and write well enough to follow written directions and to do charting.
Ability to read well enough to understand the dangers that come with working with the chemicals, equipment and supplies in the nursing department.
Verbal communication skills are important to carry on conversations with residents, co-workers and visitors in an understandable manner.
Must have passed the nursing assistance course.
Must be available for part-time, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM shifts, with every other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Relate to and work with the elderly.
Build personal relationships and care for personal needs.
Enhance the dignity in people's lives.
Read and write well enough to follow written directions and do charting.
Understand the dangers that come with working with chemicals, equipment and supplies.
Carry on conversations with residents, co-workers and visitors in an understandable manner.
Participate in educational sessions, in-service training and demonstrations.
Provide care during the day shift with every other weekend rotation.
