About The Position
Generations at Applewood in Matteson, IL is seeking CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS (CNAs) with at least 2 years of experience working in a skilled nursing facility. Generations at Applewood is a State-of-the-Art, 24-hour rehabilitation and skilled nursing community offering quality healthcare services to residents throughout the Chicagoland area. We recently opened a Complex Care Respiratory Unit.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State of Illinois - NO WAIVERS ACCEPTED
- At least 2 years of experience as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility
- At least 18 years of age
- Up-to-date flu vaccination receipt or bone fide religious or medical exemption
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- CPR Certified
- Knowledge of JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH and HFS regulations as related to job duties
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
- Professionalism and a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents.
- Assist residents with daily living activities.
- Monitor resident vital signs and report changes.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
