About The Position
St. Francis Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our part-time night shift team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing exceptional resident care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The night shift team is vital in ensuring residents remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night. Experienced CNAs and newly certified nursing assistants are encouraged to apply to build a meaningful career and make a lasting impact.
Requirements
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team
Nice To Haves
- Previous skilled nursing experience is preferred but not required
- New graduates are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while preserving each resident's dignity and independence.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
- Monitor residents throughout the night and promptly report any changes in condition to the licensed nurse.
- Respond quickly and professionally to resident call lights and overnight care needs.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Document care accurately and completely according to facility policies.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
