About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures. This PRN position offers flexible hours and is available at Patriots Colony Assisted Living in Williamsburg, Virginia. The role works under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, or LPN, and is ultimately responsible to the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year Nurse Aide Work Experience in a Long-Term Care/Assisted Living Setting (Required)
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required)
• First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required)
• Weekend Shifts
• Irregular Shifts

Nice To Haves

• 1 year Certified Nurse Aide Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety/dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met.
• Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability.
• Documents accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
• Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
