Certified Nursing Assistant - Critical Care
About The Position
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, this position provides professional, skilled, age-specific nursing care for patients in collaboration with the physician and other disciplines. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs patient-related tasks, including direct patient care, vital signs, daily activities of daily living (ADLs), clinical procedures, and other tasks as requested. The CNA communicates patient needs, observes and reports changes in patients’ conditions to the supervising Nurse or Physician, and documents all interactions in the patient’s medical record. Hourly pay rate: $16.87–$24.88.
Requirements
- Requires licensure through the Arizona Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
- Must be able to work with culturally diverse people.
- Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience preferred.
- Bilingual ability preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, age-specific nursing care in collaboration with the physician and other disciplines.
