About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its Caregiver family. We are hiring kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNAs and GNAs that bring their passion to work. Home Helpers Home Care has been providing exceptional comprehensive home care services for over 20 years. We are seeking a reliable caregiver to work every Wednesday and Friday night from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, with an immediate start available. The client has one indoor cat that needs to be fed and cared for during the shift, as well as two stray cats that are fed daily, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable around cats and genuinely enjoy caring for them. Reliable transportation is required to ensure punctual arrival for overnight shifts.

Requirements

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current CNA license
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
• Must have current doctor's medical health clearance to work which includes a negative TB Test
• Must be comfortable around cats and genuinely enjoy caring for them

Responsibilities

• Personal Care (bathing, dressing, and transfers)
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes
• Assist with medication reminders
• Assist with ambulation
• Monitor BP and glucose levels
• Aiding with activities of daily living
• Assisting with shopping, errands & transportation
• Pick up prescriptions & assist with telehealth visits
• Providing companionship
