About The Position

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are looking for Certified Nursing Assistants - CNA.

Requirements

• Current and valid FL CNA Certification.
• One year CNA experience with at least 6 months in Long-Term Care.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to speak, read, and write the English Language.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing personnel in provision of basic care for residents and necessary unit tasks.
• Assisting with personal care functions including bathing, skin care, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing/undressing.
• Assisting residents with meals, while ensuring dietary orders are followed (including assistive devices).
• Assisting in turning, positioning and transferring of residents.
• Performing basic restorative skills (range of motion, splint management).
• Appropriate and safe use of medical equipment (cane, crutches, walkers, Hoyer Lift, side rails, brace, splints, oxygen).
• Maintaining knowledge of resident orthopedic precautions, medical limitations, cognitive deficits/impairments.
