About The Position

Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to serve at Essentia Living Center, Essentia Health's long-term care facility in Fosston, Minnesota. This CNA works every other Saturday and Sunday. The role is responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. This includes providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, recognizing and dealing with the problems of the aging process, promptly reporting changes in resident condition to the shift nurse, and maintaining a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents. The position requires awareness of and prevention of the abuse of vulnerable adults, and maintaining awareness of safety issues and striving to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner, identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
  • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/transfer date
