Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
NYS Certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant
Must have good oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to speak, read and write English well enough to communicate verbally and in writing with staff, patients/residents and visitors.

Nice To Haves

Six months experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routine and basic job duties related to the direct and indirect care of residents and patients in our long-term care and sub-acute care units.
Performs all assigned duties in a safe and effective manner.
Duties include but are not limited to taking and recording vital signs, toileting, dressing, bathing, grooming, and transferring patients/residents.
Additional indirect care duties include maintaining patient and resident areas in a clean and neat fashion.
Continually orients residents/patients to their environment and interacts with residents/patients, family members, staff and others in a positive and respectful manner.
