About The Position

Baywood Court is a 5-star, newly renovated and vibrant not-for-profit senior living Community in Castro Valley, CA, committed to ensuring seniors live in health, happiness, and dignity. Positions are available for the PM Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm), including full-time roles requiring a 4 days on, 2 days off schedule, and casual/on-call opportunities, with weekends required for the latter. The starting pay for new CNAs is $24.00/hr, with a pay scale up to $27.00 for those with 10 or more years of experience. An RNA Certification adds an extra $0.75/hr to the pay.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening.
  • All applicants are required to complete and pass a physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
  • All applicants are required to complete and pass criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice (including minor misdemeanors and DUIs).
  • Must be able to write and document in the ADL’s Form.
  • Current CNA Certificate or proof of a passing score in the written and skills tests.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by this facility, which includes taking a medical and physical examination, completing TB clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, exercising, and range of motion.
  • Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and exercises under the direction of therapists.
  • Perform selected procedures such as; taking vital signs, collecting specimens, enemas, application of anti-embolism stockings, admission, transfers and discharge procedures.
  • Deliver care in a manner that preserves/protects resident autonomy, dignity and rights; is non-judgmental and non-discrimination.
  • Answer call lights promptly; anticipate residents' needs and make timely rounds to assigned residents.
