CNA | Certified Nursing Assistant | Facility Aide
About The Position
Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. This CNA/Facility Aide position provides compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a long-term care facility, helping them maintain their health, safety, comfort, and dignity.
Requirements
- Current Home Health Aide certification OR Certified Nurse Aide certification with willingness to enroll in HHA certification course within first 90 days of employment
- Ability to provide companionship and assist with daily living activities (e.g., mobility, meal support, safety) in clients’ homes
- Help clients stay safe, comfortable, and connected in their own homes
- Travel within the community to deliver care and support
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience working as a CNA or HHA
- Prior experience in home health, long-term care, or assisted living setting
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
- Helping residents reposition safely and supporting daily routines to promote independence whenever possible.
- Observing residents for changes in their physical, emotional, or mental condition and promptly reporting concerns to the nursing team.
- Assisting with maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Working collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality resident care.
