About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team at Western Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The CNA works under the direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. Responsibilities include assisting patients with personal hygiene, daily living needs, and vital sign monitoring.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience in long term or skilled care, residential care, physician practice or correctional setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under the direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene.
- Support patients with daily living needs.
- Monitor vital signs.
