About The Position
Eastcastle Place is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their exceptional team. This role involves supporting residents physically and emotionally, assisting with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and providing physical, emotional, and social support. The CNA will collaborate with fellow CNAs, RNs, LPNs, Dietary Aides, and Activities staff, reporting to Nurse Managers and the Director of Nursing. Eastcastle Place has been serving seniors for over 140 years, offering a continuum of care that promotes active and fulfilling lifestyles while respecting the dignity and independence of each resident.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant CNA experience, preferably in Long-Term Care settings
- Active CNA registration through the state of Wisconsin
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills and teamwork attitude
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- A positive, caring, and professional attitude
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must undergo a caregiver background check and drug screen
- Flu shots are required to obtain within 30 days of starting during flu season
Nice To Haves
- CBRF certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care while maintaining residents' comfort, privacy, and dignity.
- Assist with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and exercise.
- Follow resident care plans and provide support as outlined.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients as needed.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the nurse.
- May be required to relocate to different care units based on resident needs.
- Monitor and record food and liquid intake, output, and vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration).
- Report any changes in condition, wounds, bruises, or symptoms to nursing staff.
- Stay current with CNA training and facility policies.
