Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patients/participants care activities.
- Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Accommodate patients/participants with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assist with keeping patients/participants rooms clean and orderly.
- Monitor patients/participants environment for safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate, as needed.
