About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide daily direct care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports the organization’s purpose of creating joy and peace of mind for residents and their families in a supportive, faith-based community where teamwork, respect, and service are part of the everyday environment. The Certified Nursing Assistant reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The position assists residents with basic personal care according to established procedures and daily assignments, and may also help with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The CNA may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing its test.
- Listed on the state’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including light housekeeping, changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor of residents’ clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- Assist with activities and dining services.
