About The Position

This role focuses on assisting patients with their care activities, including personal care, daily living activities, and transfers/transport. The Certified Nursing Assistant will also support procedures ordered by a physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse, report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff, maintain a clean and orderly patient room, and monitor the environment for safety hazards.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients/participants care activities.
• Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Accommodate patients/participants with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patients/participants rooms clean and orderly.
• Monitor patients/participants environment for safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate, as needed.
