About The Position

Montevista Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Lawton, Oklahoma, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal care and support to residents in a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. The role involves working an 8-hour shift as part of a multidisciplinary team, assisting the charge nurse, and helping provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services. The CNA supports resident safety, comfort, and independence while contributing to care plans and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to residents in a manner that supports their safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of each shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Assist with implementing care plans as directed and within established policies and procedures.
Observe and report residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
