About The Position
Care Initiatives is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join its compassionate care team at one of more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role supports residents during their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, monitoring health, providing companionship, and helping create a safe, engaging environment. The posting lists full-time and part-time day schedules.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Pass and administer medications.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Monitor residents’ health through routine vital checks.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
