The primary purpose of this role is to provide each assigned patient with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the patient’s assessment, plan of care, and care plan, as directed by supervisors. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. Basic Life Support certification is also required within 30 days of hire. A state criminal background check is necessary, and employees must obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. The role involves recording patient information, measuring vital signs, assisting patients with daily hygiene and feeding, and supporting patient mobility and positioning. It also includes providing care for dying patients, performing postmortem care, and assisting with specialized feeding and ambulation as instructed by therapists. Safety equipment and proper body mechanics are essential for patient care and transport.
