About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time night shift position in Winchester, IN. The CNA will be responsible for assisting with patient care activities, supporting procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role involves tending to personal care, daily living activities, transfers, and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff. The CNA will also help maintain a clean and orderly patient environment and monitor for safety hazards.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist with patients/participants care activities.
Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Accommodate patients/participants with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assist with keeping patients/participants rooms clean and orderly.
Monitor patients/participants environment for safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate, as needed.
