About The Position

We are hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, those with Down Syndrome, and those living with dementia. We offer flexible weekend shift options, allowing you to choose a single day or work both days for a full weekend schedule. There is also an option to stay on-site all weekend if preferred.

Requirements

• Age 21 or older
• Current CNA certification or ability to pass the PSA test
• 40 hours of training (20 hours prior to starting, 20 hours within the first six months)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean background check (DBHDD and DCH fingerprinting required)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation
• Up-to-date physical exam and TB test or chest X-ray
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of verifiable caregiving experience
• Previous experience with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Ability to lift 60 lbs, assist with mobility, and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication skills and comfort with documentation and data entry (typing at least 35 wpm)
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and basic First Aid/CPR
• Self-starter who can both work independently and support teammates

• Medication reminders and prescription pickups
• Observing and reporting changes in health or behavior
• Supporting clients with mobility, exercise, and physical activity
• Providing companionship and facilitating social engagement
• Accompanying clients to appointments
• Accurate documentation and communication with families and staff
