We are seeking a skilled and dependable Day Shift PRN Patient Care Technician I (CNA) to join our Stroke/Telemetry team on 3 East. In this role, you will provide hands on clinical support while helping deliver safe, compassionate, high quality patient care in a fast paced acute care environment. You will work closely with nurses, clinical coordinators, and Nurse Managers to support daily patient care activities, monitor patient needs, and help ensure smooth, efficient unit operations. This is a great opportunity for a team oriented CNA who thrives in a patient focused environment and enjoys making a direct impact on patient care outcomes. Candidates must have Day Shift PRN availability and an active CNA license on the MDBON.

Requirements

  • Day Shift PRN availability
  • Active CNA license on the MDBON
  • Valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or comparable clinical setting, required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care support in a fast paced acute care environment.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, blood glucose checks, intake/output, and patient observations.
  • Perform specimen collection and support delegated clinical care tasks.
  • Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and hourly patient rounding.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, alarms, and call lights.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high quality patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
