This is a PRN Position. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. They perform delegated and ancillary basic nursing skills, including activities of daily living, monitoring of patient condition, body mechanics, providing nutritional support, and other standards of care, policies, and procedures. The CNA documents care as provided, works in a fast-paced environment, and takes appropriate action. They communicate clearly, honestly, appropriately, and promptly with patients, families, and care team members. Documentation of care/behaviors is completed with accuracy according to facility guidelines. The CNA respects the confidentiality of patient information and adheres to HIPAA and facility guidelines. They recognize and report changes in the patient’s condition, demonstrate caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships, and show respect, equity, and empathy in actions and interactions with culturally diverse and vulnerable patients. Knowledge of facility safety procedures is demonstrated. Occasional weekend work is required to support special events. The CNA performs other duties as assigned. Completing all required annual education, training, in-services, and licensure/certification updates; actively participating in departmental and organizational meetings or reviews meeting minutes as required is necessary. Strict patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Reporting to work punctually and completing assigned duties within established timeframes is expected. Actively contributing to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives is important. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies is required. Following all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff is essential.
