About The Position

This role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing selected nursing procedures, transporting non-controlled medications, and coordinating special tasks. The Certified Nursing Assistant collaborates with the patient care team to deliver care in accordance with the medical plan of care.
Requirements
- Current Certification with the CA Department of Health Services Licensing & Certification Board
- Current CPR Certification
- Must demonstrate technical competence, communication skills and sensitivity for the hospitalized patient and family.
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

- Previous experience in nursing unit or hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Give patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Perform selected nursing procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual.
- Transport non-controlled medications to and from pharmacy.
- Provide a support function to the nurse by coordinating special tasks and assisting where needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.
