About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care in a rehabilitation and long-term care (LTC) facility. The role involves providing hands-on assistance with daily living activities while ensuring patient safety and comfort in a structured care environment. This position is located in Newark, NY and is a 13-week assignment.

Requirements

• Active CNA Certification
• Minimum 1 year of LTC/rehab experience
• Strong patient care and ADL skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Travel CNA experience
• Skilled nursing or rehab background
• Familiarity with vital sign equipment
• Strong infection control knowledge

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting)
• Support mobility, transfers, and repositioning
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Maintain hygiene and skin integrity
• Assist with equipment (Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, beds)
• Document patient data accurately
• Follow infection control protocols
• Respond to patient needs and call lights
• Report changes in patient condition
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
