(CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
Caring Hands Home Health, Inc. is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide personal care services as part of a client’s established plans of care. CNAs assist clients with maintaining personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as toileting and incontinence care. They also help with transfers, meal preparation, and household chores such as washing dishes, doing laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, making beds, and grocery shopping. CNAs also provide essential companionship to clients, which is crucial for maintaining their self-worth and dignity, especially when family members are not readily available.
Requirements
- Must be Certified by the state of North Carolina.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Must be sympathetic to patient care.
- Ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Ability to care for the physical demands of caring for a patient.
- Must have a smartphone.
- Must have an email account.
Nice To Haves
- Car preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in maintaining personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care.
- Assist with transfers from bed to chair and other locations.
- Prepare meals for clients who have difficulty doing so themselves.
- Perform household chores including washing dishes, doing laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and making beds.
- Prepare meals.
- Perform grocery shopping and run errands when needed.
- Provide companionship to clients.
