Requirements
- Must possess a current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Indiana.
- A genuine passion for working with seniors and a commitment to providing empathetic and dignified care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and a reliable attendance record.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care is preferred, but newly certified CNAs are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and transferring.
- Assisting residents with self-administration of medications as permitted by state regulations and facility policy.
- Accurately documenting care provided, changes in resident condition, and other pertinent observations in the resident's record.
- Promptly reporting any changes in a resident's physical, mental, or emotional status to the charge nurse or supervisor.
- Encouraging resident participation in activities and social events to promote engagement and well-being.
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Collaborating with nurses, other CNAs, and staff to deliver holistic and compassionate care.
