About The Position

Anchor Post Acute is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their award-winning team. They offer a supportive environment and opportunities for growth. The CNA will provide daily nursing care and services to residents based on their individual care plans.

Requirements

  • ACTIVE South Carolina Nurse Aide Certification
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Assistant Program
  • Current CPR Certification
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Provide each assigned resident with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.
  • Identify residents before administering treatments, serving meals, etc.
  • Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
  • Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Report all accidents and incidents observed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report suspected violations.
  • Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility’s information system.
  • Perform only trained nursing care procedures.
  • Ensure resident rooms are ready for new admissions.
  • Greet and escort residents to their rooms.
  • Introduce residents to others.
  • Make residents comfortable.
  • Inventory and mark resident’s personal possessions.
  • Store resident’s clothing.
  • Assist residents with packing personal possessions for transfers or discharge.
  • Transport residents to new rooms or receiving areas.
  • Assist with loading/unloading residents to/from vehicles.
  • Create and maintain a warm, positive, and calm environment.
  • Meet with nursing personnel to identify and correct problem areas.
  • Report all resident complaints and grievances.
  • Participate in and receive nursing reports.
  • Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
  • Make beds and add extra covers as requested.
  • Measure and record TPRs of residents.
  • Weigh and measure residents as instructed.
  • Ensure residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
  • Answer resident calls promptly.
  • Check residents routinely for personal care needs.
  • Assist residents with identifying food arrangements.
  • Record resident’s food/fluid intake and report changes in eating habits.
  • Keep resident water pitchers clean and filled.
  • Perform after-meal care.
  • Follow work assignments and schedules.
  • Cooperate with inter-departmental and facility personnel.
  • Notify the facility when late or absent.
  • Report occupational exposures.
  • Assist residents with daily functions (dental and mouth care, bath, hair combing, dressing/undressing).
  • Keep residents dry (change gown, clothing, linens).
  • Assist residents in preparing for medical tests.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
  • Assist in preparing residents for physical examinations.
  • Check residents routinely for personal care needs.
  • Observe and report pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent decubitus ulcers.
  • Report injuries of an unknown source.
  • Observe disoriented and comatose residents and record/report data.
  • Perform special treatments as instructed.
  • Immediately notify the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of any resident leaving/missing.
  • Use only trained equipment.
  • Report defective equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
  • Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of information.
  • Report all allegations of resident abuse and/or misappropriation of resident property.
  • Honor resident's refusal of treatment requests and report them to a supervisor.

Benefits

  • $15-$19/hour based on experience
  • $4 / hour Shift Differential for Saturday and Sunday (7a-7p)
