Home Care - CNA - 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Overnights)
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking professional and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide care for a 24/7 home care client in Oak Park (Chicago). This role involves working 12-hour shifts, either from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am, starting August 20th. The ideal candidate will uphold a higher standard of care, demonstrating professionalism, strong communication skills, and confidentiality. As a member of the home care team, the CNA will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, performing various personal care services to meet the client's needs and ensuring quality, continuity, and safety of care. BrightStar Care offers flexible work hours, allowing employees to work as many or as few hours as they desire, and is looking for high-energy individuals seeking full or part-time work, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
- Cleared Background and listed on IDPH.
- Reliable Transportation to Downtown Chicago.
- Smart phone with data plan.
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented Caregiving experience is required
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Provide client with hygiene care as directed including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping
- Take and record vital signs as well as height and weight, if necessary
- Assist client in active and passive range of motion defined by the plan of care, document observed changes, report any changes to the Director of Nursing
- Assist client in walking and transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, shopping
- Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards
- Ensure client’s rights are adhered to
