About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality, individualized patient care in collaboration with the nursing team. Taking initiative while assisting with and maintaining patient care is important to the success of the team. This per-diem role is in the Long Term Care department at Park Ridge Living Center, with variable day, evening, and night schedules and zero hours per week.

Requirements

• Completion of a New York State-approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Registered Certified Nurse Aide in New York State.
• CNA certification through the New York State Office of Professions / New York State Education Department.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist residents with activities outlined in their individualized care plans.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Provide leisure activities as needed.
• Perform evaluations and report findings.
• Provide emotional support to residents and families.
• Help maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
• Support families and direct them to appropriate professional staff.
• Respond to resident requests in a timely manner.
• Receive and give reports to team members and team leaders.
