About The Position
The Mervyn Sharp Bennion Veterans Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to care for the men and women who have served our country. As a CNA, you will build lasting relationships with residents, support their independence, and help provide quality care in a welcoming, home-like environment. This role offers meaningful work, a supportive team, and opportunities for career development and advancement within Avalon.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion for seniors and veterans
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass required employment screenings
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities and personal care
- Help residents with mobility, meals, and hygiene
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Promote resident comfort, dignity, and safety
- Respond to resident needs with compassion and respect
- Work with the care team to provide quality care
